Lara is a CILEX Paralegal in the firm and she is a member of our Childcare team. She is supervised by Director and Head of Department, Kate Roberts.
Lara joined Watkins and Gunn in 2016 as a Legal Assistant before being promoted to Senior Legal Assistant. She subsequently undertook the new CILEX Legal Apprenticeship Course which was introduced in 2022 at the University of Wales Trinity St David, with Watkins and Gunn being one of the first firms to take advantage of the Welsh Government funding. Lara qualified as a CILEX Paralegal in November 2024 and is currently undertaking comprehensive training under Senior Associate Solicitor, Natalie Corten.
For 9 years, Lara has worked within our Childcare team, assisting Natalie Corten on all areas of Public Law Children and complex Private Law matters to include Social Services involvement, Child Arrangements, Care Proceedings, Special Guardianship Orders and representing clients at Public Law Outline Meetings.
