Key Responsibilities

• Handle a mixed caseload of employment law cases from instruction through to settlement or hearing, including unfair and wrongful dismissal, discrimination and Equality Act claims, redundancy and restructuring, TUPE transfers, Employment Tribunal proceedings, drafting and negotiating settlement agreements.
• Provide clear, pragmatic advice to clients
• Liaise with trade unions and maintain strong working relationships with union representatives
• Display strong compliance skills
• Supervise junior team members where appropriate and contribute to team development
• Attend union conferences and networking events

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with practising rights and 2+ years PQE
• Proven experience in employment litigation and advisory work
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Ability to thrive as part of a collaborative team

Desirable

• Experience working with trade unions
• Membership of the Employment Lawyers Association

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting lawyers with case management and administrative tasks
• Preparing and facilitating the drafting of legal documents
• Typing and transcribing dictation accurately and efficiently
• Managing client correspondence and maintaining accurate records
• Liaising with clients in a professional and empathetic manner
• Handling telephone enquiries and scheduling appointments
• Supporting the team with file opening/file closing, compliance matters, and billing

About You

• Previous experience in a legal support role (Private Client experience desirable)
